ACCESSIBILITY AND THE RIGHT OF PEOPLE WITH MOTOR DISABILITIES: LITERATURE REVIEW

Abstract

Considering that, in Brazil, there are several laws that deal with the rights of people with disabilities, this study sought to present an analysis using a literature review to discuss the subject. The goal of this paper is: to analyze accessibility and the rights of people with physical disabilities. Methodology: the searches were carried out in the electronic databases (Pubmed, Lilacs, Medline and Scielo) in Portuguese and English, descriptors in health sciences DeCS. The composition of the sample varied in terms of accessibility, motor disability and the rights of people with disabilities. Result: even after decades of legislation establishing the rights of people with disabilities, there is still a violation of legal norms and the need for society to comply with them, as they were established to meet the minimum needs of people with disabilities. Conclusion: people with physical disabilities find accessibility barriers that make it difficult to get around, although it is not a unique problem in Brazil, the accessibility difficulties here are accentuated.
