REFLECTIONS ON THE REALITY OF CHILDHOOD LIVED BY CHILDREN IN STREET SITUATION IN THE FEDERATIVE REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL
Abstract
In this scientific text, we seek to approach, through authors who dialogue with the Studies of Childhood, to reflect on the reality of childhood lived by children in street situations. Thus, the reflection was made from some research that evidence the experience of these children in a childhood marked by the adversities that the street provides. Moreover, the central point of our argument concerns the fact that children living in a street context are active subjects, human beings, endowed with rights and who need protection against any tricks of human life by the family, society, and public power. Finally, we suggest, as a conclusion of our foundation, that it is necessary to print the affirmation and realization of the doctrine of integral protection with its absolute priority in the rights of all children, where those who live on the streets are also – and need to be – inserted.
